Jamison Shaw Hairdressers accepts all major credit cards. Gratuity may only be left as cash or personal check made out to stylist. We do not accept personal checks as payment for services - we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The overwhelming majority of the salon’s business is by prior appointment. Very little of our business is made up of ‘walk-ins’. What this means is stylists, many of whom book up well in advance, rely on our guests to timely keep their appointments in order to earn their livings. It is very difficult for a stylist to fill a vacancy resulting from a cancellation if the cancellation takes place less than 24 hours in advance. And it is nearly impossible to fill a vacant appointment in the event of a ‘no show’. Also, due to the minimum amount of time it takes to properly do someone’s hair, a tardy guest can have a ‘domino’ effect causing a stylist to run late on all subsequent appointments that day, which hardly seems fair to later guests.
While we work hard to be accommodating in the event of an occasional cancellation and to be understanding due to unexpected delays resulting from traffic or unavoidable circumstances, to be fair to our employees who are trying to earn their livings, it’s necessary for us to have a policy on these issues.
As much advance notice as possible prior to a cancellation is appreciated. 24 hours advance notice is the preferred minimum. Upon a guest’s third cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, such guest will only be allowed to book future appointments on the day of their desired service. Guest with four or more cancellations with less than 24 hours advance notice will be seen on a ‘walk-in’ basis only, availability permitting.
Guests with more than three ‘no shows’ will be invited to patronize another salon to receive services.
Excessive tardiness, as determined in the sole discretion of the salon, will result in a guest having to pay an advanced, non-refundable deposit, in order to secure a future reservation. Persistent excessive tardiness will result in a guest being invited to patronize another salon. Our salon reserves the right to refuse service to a guest who is tardy.
